Standard Child Care First Aid Course

Enroll in our comprehensive two-day course and learn lifesaving first aid skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques, AED use, choking response, circulation emergencies, wound care management and strategies for maintaining child safety with a particular focus on childhood injuries and illnesses.

This course is designed to meet the first aid and CPR guidelines. It fulfills provincial/territorial early childhood education and daycare worker safety and legislative requirements.

16 hours in-class

Teaching time does not include breaks

Prerequisites

This course has no prerequisites

Completion

Demonstrate a working competency of all required skills

Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation completed independently

Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Certification

3-year certification in Standard Child Care First Aid with CPR Level B

Recertification

8 hours in-class
