Emergency Child Care First Aid Course

This basic one-day course is designed to equip caregivers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prevent injuries among children and babies.

The course covers lifesaving first aid skills, CPR, AED use, choking response, circulation emergencies, wound care, and more. Additionally, this course meets provincial/territorial legislative requirements for early childhood education and daycare workers.

8 hours in-class

Teaching time does not include breaks

Prerequisites

This course has no prerequisites

Completion

Demonstrate a working competency of all required skills

Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation completed independently

Attend and participate in 100% of the course

Certification

3-year certification in Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR Level B

Recertification

6 hours in-class
